I contacted Spire, and was told that this winter has been colder (no argument there), and our usage is "consistent with the history of this residence." I have documentation showing our highest bill has been $145 in 2 years, so I'm not sure how they came up with that one. We had a new (more efficient) furnace put in last summer, decreased the temperature on the thermostat 2 degrees this year to 67, and yet our bill doubled. Just received my gas bill for January.twice as much compared to any other bill I've had over the past 2 years ($145 would be the average, was $288 for last month).
